Moree is a progressive and dynamic town situated at the heart of NSW’s northern wheat belt. Ideally situated near the border of New South Wales and Queensland, Moree is a town rich in heritage, culture, agriculture and natural assets with each component intertwining to define the characteristics of both the town and the community.

The exquisite Art Deco features in the town centre provide a spectacular ambience for both locals and visitors to enjoy. There are many speciality boutiques, great cafes and restaurants that utilise the wonderful local produce and a well renowned regional art gallery.

Moree Plains hosts the richest agricultural production area in Australia and local crops include cotton, wheat, barley, canola and sunflowers. Permanent crops such as citrus fruit, olives and pecan nuts as well as livestock operations are also part of the mix. Importantly, there are downstream processing facilities such as cotton gins and an oilseed processing plant that provide year-round employment opportunities. This, combined with many local diversified businesses help provide the backbone to an extremely vibrant local economy which is more than happy to support newcomers to the area seeking opportunities.
