Gunnedah Family Support Inc (GFS) is a non-government not for profit organisation who assists all members of the community including women, men, children, teenagers, couples and families. We aim to provide a professional and confidential service that offers support, information and practical assistance to adults, children, young people and families in the Gunnedah Local Government Area.

We are a 66 place centre located in the North West of NSW. Gunnedah is situated in the midst of the traditional lands of the Kamilaroi People, surrounded by agricultural and mining industries. Our programs and practices reflect our commitment to our families, the community and the wonderful diversity of the surrounding areas. We offer our children the opportunity to explore through play using their own interests to support their growing knowledge in the areas of science, maths, computers, multi-culture, diversity and gender equality. Mary Ranken Child Care Centre offers 39 places catering from birth to 6 years of age. Care is provided on a casual, regular or permanent basis for working, studying, respite and socialization of the child. We are conveniently located in the TAFE grounds, Gunnedah. Mary Ranken is a non-profit, government-funded organisation, run by a dedicated voluntary Management Committee. Our service also relies on fundraising activities for the purchase of equipment.
Your team of educators all have First Aid Certificates and at least a Certificate III in Children’s Services with three current staff with their Diplomas and two currently studying for their Diploma.
The Educators all attend regular workshops and seminars to keep up to date with the ever changing early childhood profession.
