The Tamworth Musical Society has been providing musical theatre for the people of Tamworth and the surrounding district since 1888. Two major productions are staged each year providing community theatrical experience on stage, in orchestras and behind the scenes for a large number of people. The Society is open to all people who want to have this experience – performers are chosen from auditions for each production, whereas all other jobs are open to volunteers.

Tamworth Dramatic Society

Wesbite: www.tamworthdramaticsociety.org

The Tamworth Dramatic Society was established in 1947 and has been producing plays ever since. TDS perform two major shows a year at The Capitol Theatre, and hold regular sessions of more informal gatherings for members, guests, and new friends. TDS Youth Theatre meets weekly, and is a vital part of our involvement with the community. We also encourage local theatre practitioners to develop special projects which hope to foster new ideas in our vibrant city. Our committee meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Wests Diggers in Kable Avenue, and new members are always welcome.
