Tenterfield Shire: Lifestyle
Tenterfield is an historical town and as such, many of the nearby activities and attractions reflect this heritage. Tenterfield is also surrounded by natural beauty with many national parks close to town that are perfect for bushwalking or a more leisurely picnic. There is an emerging food and wine industry in Tenterfield with some excellent cool climate wines being produced. Most of the local wineries have cellar doors and are happy to invite locals and visitors alike to sample their products. Tenterfield also offers an array of sporting, musical and social groups and there is certainly an activity for everyone regardless of age.
For a full listing of sporting groups, Tenterfield Shire Council maintains a sport, leisure and recreation directory on their website here.
